Alternating cut outs of stingray leather and cabochons, surrounded by dozens of small studs to create a flashy and royal looking collar, sure to turn heads.
Stingray leather is an exotic leather with unique properties. It is fire resistant, tear resistant, water resistant, tough as nails, and just absolutely beautiful to look at. The texture has a very pebble-like feel, and the leather is very accepting of dye, so it comes in many bright colors and finishes.
Like cow leather, stingray leather is a byproduct of the meat industry, specifically in southeast Asia where it is fished for food.
While we don’t think you’ll ever need it, all of Kismet Collars’ products are fully warranted against defects in materials and workmanship. This includes defects in hardware, leather, fasteners, and embellishments. We also cover maintenance, such as polishing the hardware, burnishing the leather edges, and leather conditioning.
Please check out our Warranty page for more detailed information.
DELIVERY & TURN AROUND TIME
Due to the fact that all of our products are hand-crafted, to order, please allow 2-4 weeks for us to create your gear. While we make it our goal to get you your gear as fast as possible, there are quite a few steps in creating each piece of gear we craft, all done by hand, the “old fashioned” way. We pour a lot of love into everything we make and we’d rather go slower and make sure your gear is made just right, rather then move quickly and send you an inferior product.
We ship USPS Priority Mail, which on average, takes 2-4 days for delivery. Please make sure you are factoring in shipping time on top of the 2-4 week creation time when you order.
RETURNS & EXCHANGES
While we want to make sure you’re absolutely happy with your Kismet Collars’ gear, we are unable to accept returns at this time. Please make sure you’re totally satisfied with the leather color, metal hardware, and embellishments you have chosen.
We are pretty flexible with exchanges on unused gear, as long as we are contacted within 14 days. However, due to the time and material costs involved, we can not accept exchanges due to incorrect sizing on your part. Should you, by chance, find you have incorrectly measured your dog’s neck size, we do offer a resizing fee for $15 + shipping on an individual basis.
We try to make sure that all pictures are as accurate as possible, but please understand that there may be color variations from screen-to-screen. Furthermore, since leather is not a synthetic material, there will be slight variations in color, texture, and markings from hide to hide, and even within a single hide. We feel this adds to the uniqueness, and character, of each and every piece of gear we craft.
Please note, general turn around time and shipping charges apply to exchanges.
All of our collars are crafted based off of actual neck size, not “collar size.”
One of the great things about buying a custom made collar from us is that you get a collar that fits perfectly! Gone are the days of trying to guess what size collar your pup will fit into. We work from your exact measurements, and will put the neck size you specify on the middle hole of five. This creates a perfect fit, with adjustment room for some weight loss / gain and winter / summer coats.
It is incredibly important that you measure your dogs neck accurately. It’s best to use a measuring tape and take a flush measurement in the middle of the neck. Do not put two fingers under the measuring tape, this will result in a collar that is too big. If you don’t have a measuring tape, you can use a piece of string to measure, mark it, lay it flat then measure with a ruler.
Please do not measure neck size from an old collar, manufacturers and makers each have their own unique sizing standards so you’ll end up with a collar the wrong size. Remember, we work from actual neck size, NOT “collar size.”
For more detailed information on how to measure, please see our Sizing page.
